Enjoy a visit to Cat Cat Village, 2km from Sapa Townlet, is an age-old village of H’Mong ethnic group remaining unique customs and practices that are lots in other villages. Visitors to Cat Cat have an opportunity to admire a lively and colorful picture. That is the image of young women sitting by looms with colorful pieces of brocade decorated with designs of flowers and birds. When these pieces of brocade are finished, they are dyed and embroidered with beautiful designs. A noteworthy is that H’Mong women use plants and leaves to dye these brocade fabrics. And then they roll around and smooth section of wood covered with wax on fabrics to polish them, making their colors durable. In addition to the brocade weaving craft, many residents in Cat Cat are good at manipulating gold and silver jewelry. Their products are fairly sophisticated, especially jewelry for women.

This morning, visit to Lao Chai Ta Van, staging point for the day’s hike. Begin the trek by descending into the rice-terraced valley. Walk though isolated villages, rice fields, and isolated thatched roof homes where H’Mong peoples live. See the H’Mong at work and at play in their distinctive dark blue dress.

Continue taking a visit to Silver Waterfall & Heaven Pass: lies beside National Highway No 4D, about 12km from Sapa town’s centre, Silver Waterfall is formed by sources of water from the Lo Sui Tong mountain peak. With a height of 100 meter, it is a big one and the loop track is steep and scenic. From the distance, the waterfall looks like a white dragon looking down from the sky. You can reach the Silver Waterfall by car in half an hour. From there you can see stunning view of the surrounding mountains and the last forests belonging to Hoang Lien Son National Park.

OPTION 1, FANXIPAN WITH CABLE CAR

You will be transferred to the Sapa Cable Station for very amazing trip to Indochina’s Rooftop – Mount Fanxipan by cable car. This is particularly interesting in these northern mountains of the country, where travelers seek the rice terraces and traditional arts of a minority peoples. Cultivating the land to an altitude of around 2,200 meters are the ethnic minorities the lowland Vietnamese generically call ‘Meo’ – savages – and above them looms the bulk of Hua Xi Pan: “giant protruding rock”. Take hiking of 600 stone stairs more to reach the rocky peak of The Roof of Indochina. Below you spread the foothills of the Himalayas, blanketed with rainforest and the first tendrils of fog.

OPTION 2, CAU MAY GLASS BRIDGE TRIP

At the moment, Sapa Glass Bridge which is (also called Cau Kinh Rong May which means Dragon in Cloud Glass Bridge) is located at O Quy Ho Pass is the longest Glass Bridge in Indochina. The view from Sapa Glass Bridge is absolutely stunning and it brings the 360^o panorama view to the guests therefore it’s such a miss when you don’t visit this place.

After breakfast, heading to Bac Ha. Every Sunday, Bac Ha hosts the biggest fair near the mountainous highlands and the Chinese border. It is a trading centre and meeting place for couples, friends, and relatives, and it is a typical weekly activity for the H’Mong and other minority groups living in the locality. Local products for sale or barter are carried on horseback. At the fair, adventurous gastronomes can try “Thang co” porridge, a popular dish of the H’Mong and other local people.

After your interesting time at the market, continue visiting:

• Ban Pho village: The village of Flower Mong people about 7 kms from Bac Ha town. Ban Pho still retains primary of highland village. From a distance, Pho Village looks like a nice and lively picture. Mingling in the thick, interminable forest and mountain is glimpse of Hmong ethnic homes, like bird nests clinging to the cliffs. Follow beautiful valley with plums garden and corn filed, you can take the beautiful hike along this great scenery and visit the family of hospitable Mong people. Try their famous alcohol made from corn and interact with the family in their traditional house. It is more like the hiking than a trek, so everyone can do that.
• The H’Mong King’s house was built at the beginning of the 20th century (between 1914 and 1921). Its owner was Hoang Yen Chao of Tay origin. He was the father of Hoang A Tuong, a tribal mandarin under the domination of the French colonialists. The castle is a unique construction work, which harmonizes the Oriental and Western architectural styles. Occupying a pivotal position overlooking the Bac Ha valley, it serves both as the residence of Hoang Yen Chao, then Hoang A Tuong and as a fortress. Its network of walls, bunkers, and battlements were reinforced by a mortar mixed with sugar molasses. In a distance, the white castle jutting out from the valley looks imposing and majestic. At present, this castle is put under a restoration scheme to better help tourists get insight into the changes of the local life.

15:00 – 15:30: Meet your sharing eco bus and transfer back to Hanoi. Drop off at your hotel.
